How many times have I heard the phrase, guns don’t shoot people, people shoot people. Than why is it in developed countries where private guns ownership is outlawed their is less gun violence? (http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2012/jul/22/gun-homicides-ownership-world-list ) Making guns illegal doesn’t eliminate them from the hands of those who have the means to find them illegally, but it does prevent so many senseless accidents and easy crimes.
There are are many laws being proposed before Congress to tighten security in terms of who owns guns – the National Rifle Association (NRA) is against all of them. (http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/05/04/nra-adopts-wnd-columnists-resolution-opposing-a/193909 ) Why if they are for responsible gun ownership are they against making gun licensing more difficult to get? Why not limit the number of bullets in a magazine for sale to private individuals?
